The Philippine Homeschool Chorale
The Philippine Homeschool Chorale (PHC) is a unique and inspiring ensemble that brings together young singers from the homeschooling community to showcase their musical talent and love for choral music. Founded in 2023 by Liaa Ambrosio-Patag, a former member of the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers and a homeschooling mother and music teacher herself, the chorale was created as a way to merge her two great passions: music and education. She envisioned PHC not just as a choir, but as a platform for nurturing the musical and personal growth of children in a supportive, creative environment.
Under the expert guidance of PHC conductor Ms. Celadonia Franco, also a former member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the choir made a memorable debut at the prestigious Madz Et Al choral festival in 2023. The event, titled "Triumphs of Andrea", was a tribute to the late National Artist for Music and founder of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Prof. Andrea O. Veneracion. This performance, alongside other esteemed choirs including the Madz, marked a significant milestone in the choir’s journey, showcasing the remarkable talent of its young members.
In 2024, the second chapter of the PHC was formed in Alabang. It is conducted by another alumnus of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Mr. Vell Litan.
The Mandaluyong Chapter, to be conducted by Philippine Madrigal singers alumna Ma. Rhina Paula Palma-Cruz is set to be formed by early 2025.
